I always love day after sessions. The couple always looks a little more relaxed…there’s no rush to race your reception or squeeze in pictures with your bridal party and extended family. And I always think couples look all glowy and full of love in their day after sessions, so, of course I love the idea! (And it’s another chance to wear your dress, so why not?!). This session shot by Alicia Pollett feature Mary Harrington and her new hubby.

Encore Session

Alice Hu Photography took these gorgeous photos for what she calls an Encore Session. The title is perfect! It’s a combination of “day after”, “trash the dress” and “bridal portraits.” What a completely brilliant idea.

In addition to the stunning bride and fab photographer, you MUST take note of the hidden talent behind the glowing beauty. Jamie Michele is an INCREDIBLE make-up artist, who I recently had the pleasure of working with. She’s professional, talented and a joy to be around. If you are looking for a make-up artist, I HIGHLY recommend her.

Bridals & Groomals (?)

Yeah…not sure what to call this…all I know is I love it! This rule-breaking bride and groom, Sarah and Jacob, decided to do a pre-wedding photo shoot. I absolutely love how gorgeous these came out. When you have a full day rather than 27.2 minutes to shoot all of your photos, it makes it that much easier to capture tons of wonderful shots. Of course Courtney Brooke did such a RAD job…you just can’t lose.

So, for those of you who don’t mind that your groom gets a little sneak peak, you might want to consider a practice run with your man. Now onto the STUNNING images…

Day After Session: Doug and Christine

I ran across Tim Halberg’s photography the other day and couldn’t leave his blog. After finally ripping myself away, I emailed Tim to see if I could feature this newly popular “Day After” session he recently shot in Lake Tahoe. Not only are Doug and Christine absolutely gorgeous, but they infused so much personality into the session, that I just couldn’t resist sharing them with you.

I like to give a special thanks to Tim for sharing the photos. Also, check out some of Doug’s equally fabulous work here. The first shots are from the day after session, but I’ve included a few sneak peeks from their wedding. I made Tim promise me he’d send over the images from the rest of their wedding as soon as he has them up. I can’t WAIT to see the rest.
