Kentucky Derby

I miss inspiration boards. Don’t you? Well, today’s post comes from one of my fave inspiration blogs, Postcards and Pretties. She recently put together a Kentucky Derby wedding inspiration board and I couldn’t resist sharing with you. This concept is just too good. I’m obsessed with the vintage inspired award rosettes.

Be sure to check out Postcards and Pretties for tons more inspiring boards!

{destination} louisville, kentucky

{description} it’s obvious that today’s destination board takes us to kentucky where we’re off to the races. the {kentucky derby} is set to start this saturday and i wanted to create a modern and fresh derby inspired wedding. rummage antique shops and flea markets for vintage trophies that can be used for centerpieces and place price ribbons on each place setting to add color and whimsy and don’t forget to serve your guest’s delicious derby pie and mint juleps.

That would make a lovely Kentucky Bluegrass themed wedding, but a true Derby theme simply cannot do without red roses, julep cups, and a boatload of hats! Add fresh mint, racing forms, and bourbon references as finishing touches.

Anyone know where to find a veil like the one in the top right picture? I haven’t seen one quite like that before.

  6. I am loving this board- so preppy, summery, and fresh! I love that big silver cup with the flower arrangement in it.
