Engaged: Nicole and Michael

Soooo…when Jenny Liu sent over the photos of this engagement session, I was absolutely tickled! I’m really into the editorial and story-telling approach to engagement shoots, so of course I felt jealous tingles when I saw Nicole’s vintage suitcase approach to her engagement shoot. How cute, right? Is it weird that I’ve been looking up vintage suitcases on Etsy ever since I saw these? Hmmm…

Miniature Rhino: CUSTOM embroidery

More embroidery? Yes, please forgive me. But this time, it’s for the bride and groom. Or for your own wedding. Because how cute is this custom embroidery from Miniature Rhino? I can’t pass it up!!!

Real Wedding: Chris and Layla

It’s a little known fact that I went to graduate school to study English. I had originally thought I wanted to get my doctorate and teach literature. Then I realized how terrible the job market is for Ph.D.’s in English. And the plan started to unravel. Nevertheless, I have an obsession with words, which means my favorite game is Scrabble (though oddly, not many people like to play it with me. Hmmm?).

So you can imagine my absolute delight when Jeff Wallace sent over this wedding which incorporated a little shout out to Scrabble, which Chris and Layla played on their first date. How cute is that? Such personality!

B. Poetic

I wanted to do a special post on B. Poetic’s work, which I fell in love with a few months ago while planning the design for the JC workshop I designed and styled. If you haven’t discovered Kaitlin yet, you’ve really got to make sure you check out her site and blog. Everything is so fresh, cheery, feminine and all around too good to be true. Kaitlin was so sweet to send me a few pieces from her collection, which I happily borrowed. They added such a gorgeous touch!

So really…head over to her site now and make your wardrobe ten times cuter with a handmade detail from B. Poetic. Before you go though, here are a few adorable pictures from a wedding that featured her too-cute shoe clips! These GORGEOUS photos were shot by Jenny McCann.

Speechless!

I had the absolute pleasure of getting to help out with Utterly Engaged’s November photo shoot yesterday. Words cannot explain how big my designer crush is on Paige, from Bash Eco Events and Kelly from Succulet Love Designs and Yes, Please. Their styling, inspired by their board below, blew my mind. And I swear, I’m totally not exaggerating. I almost shed a tear…partly because I was so jealous of their amazingness and partly because their work was just that great. Can’t wait for you to see the November issue of Utterly Engaged, but until then, you’ll have to check out the hot-off-the-press October issue.

Handmade for the Bridesmaid

So, does handmade count even if you don’t handmake it yourself? I think it does. Because the important part is that it’s handmade! I’m really into embroidery lately, but more in the vintage rustic style.

You can go the personalized route…

I also love this version, which is a little pendant…

Engaged: Pearl and Trevor

Not only is this engagement shoot by Tricia Dewar totally FALL, but it also features a Grey reader! Pearl is rocking a headband that I featured in this post…and I can’t tell you how fun it is to see a bride that is looking so cute in a find featured here on Grey. How cute! Special thanks to Tricia for sending over her photos!

Real Wedding: Linda and Jason

Uh…I don’t know what to say about this wedding…because it is so freaking cute, I don’t even know how to handle it. I mean…if you have a super rad red leather couch as the feature of your photo booth, pretty sure you can do no wrong. This wedding shall be a road map to my own!

So unbelievably thrilled that Danielle from Skye Blu Photography shared these gorgeous photos with us!

Milk Pod Studio

As promised, I wanted to share a bit more of Milkpod Studio’s work. I can’t tell you how much I love fabric…all the texture and patterns really get my heart racing. So of course these bouquets and boutonnieres have me in a tizzy. These are definitely in the running for my bouquet, particularly because Milkpod Studio offers custom colors and custom orders!
